Offering provides enhanced accessibility for security teams investigating cybercrimes

Austin, TX – November 30, 2023 SpyCloud, the leader in Cybercrime Analytics, today announced the launch of its SaaS-based Investigations Portal to streamline and accelerate successful outcomes of investigations into cyber and financial crimes. With unlimited queries, intuitive visualization, and robust data metrics, SpyCloud’s portal amplifies security teams’ ability to deanonymize bad actors attempting to harm their organization and customers.

Cybercrime is expected to inflict damages of $8 trillion globally in 2023. Armed with troves of stolen identity data – including 721.5 million credentials exposed in 1,316 breach sources last year alone – criminals are actively targeting businesses and individuals for profit via account takeover, identity fraud, and targeted cyberattacks like ransomware.

In fact, more than 80% of respondents to a recent SpyCloud survey of 300+ security professionals in the US, UK and Canada said they were affected by ransomware in the last 12 months. Identity fraud losses continued to rise 15% last year, affecting 15+ million U.S. adults. Cyber threat intel and security operations teams in the private sector and law enforcement need tools to increase the efficacy of investigations into these crimes, their perpetrators, and the infrastructure that enables them.

“In a time of shrinking security budgets and an industry-wide skills shortage, our Portal greatly reduces the time and level of skilled resources required to discover the ‘who’ and ‘how’ behind cybercrimes. Our goal is to arm analysts and investigators with the right data, at the right time, for faster results.

CW Walker, Director of Security Product Strategy at SpyCloud

SpyCloud’s investigations solutions are already trusted by organizations across the globe. This new Portal makes it easier to navigate vast amounts of actionable data from the criminal underground – without the need for scripting or advanced querying skills – and bring investigations to a swift and successful conclusion. SpyCloud customers have the option to use the Portal or continue accessing data via the Investigations API, which integrates with popular tools including Maltego, Jupyter Notebook, and Splunk.
