Bill has an extensive background in high-tech sales focused on the government market, with particular success in scaling high growth companies with small footprints in government.
Before joining SpyCloud, Bill held a variety of public sector senior leadership positions at the world’s top cybersecurity and technology firms, including Vice President, North America Public Sector at Palo Alto; Senior Vice President of Federal at Cellebrite; and Vice President, Public Sector at IBM, where he led the healthcare and government software businesses.
Prior to IBM he led Splunk’s worldwide government business to 20x growth in under four years. Splunk went from an unknown software vendor in DC to the most talked about and in-demand cybersecurity software companies.
Prior to Splunk, Bill was Vice President, GM of Public Sector for Endeca (now Oracle), which is a widely used intelligence search tool that now makes up 50% of Oracle’s national security business.
Before embarking on his software sales career, he led award winning eGovernment programs for the City of San Diego and the City/County of San Francisco both as a city employee and as a General Manager with NICUSA, a publicly traded leader in eGovernment portals. He also learned the operations of an urban city as the right hand/Chief of Staff to the Mayor of Independence Ohio and ran high profile Ohio Congressional and Senate campaigns as well as serving as Chief of Staff, District Director and Press Secretary for those Congressmen.
Bill is the father of four grown children and lives in McLean, VA.
